FAQ
FAQ
How much is a new kitchen?
Replacement of cabinets and counter tops in a typical kitchen can start around $5000 including labor. Of course a larger kitchen including new appliances, flooring, granite counter tops, and upgraded cabinets could cost $20,000 or more.

Is there any charge for preparation of a proposal?
No. There is no charge for a site survey to measure your kitchen, consult with you about your design, and prepare a bid with perspective drawings.

Can I do some of the work?
Yes. Often homeowners do their own demolition, painting, and sometimes other things as well. These things need to be made part of the written agreement between us. It is also important that you adhere to the agreed upon schedule for completion of your part of the work.

What are some of the things I may need to budget for?
  • Cabinets
  • Counter tops
  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Lighting fixtures
  • Appliances
  • Flooring
  • Drywall repair
  • Paint
  • Tile

What about cabinet re-facing?
Cabinet re-facing is less invasive and preserves the existing counter top and back splash. However:
  • It costs about the same as cabinet replacement
  • It doesn't allow any re-arrangement of the kitchen
  • It doesn't replace the interior surfaces of the cabinets
  • It can peel off if good quality material is not properly applied
  • It looks... it looks... it looks a lot like the old kitchen, doesn't it?
